Who looks after your information
This website belongs to Resilient Contractors. We decide how the personal information described here is used. You can reach us on info@resilientcontractors.co.uk or 07533 379703.
No cookies
This site doesn't set cookies, and it doesn't use your browser's storage to remember you, so there's no cookie banner. The one cookie you may see comes from hCaptcha, and only once you start filling in the quote form (see below). The services that load from other companies are described with what they do.
The quote form
Sending the quote form gives us your name, phone number, postcode, the type of work and whatever you write about the job. The form also sends the address of the page you sent it from and, if the link you followed carried them, its campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign). That tells us which pages and adverts bring enquiries.
It's used for one thing: dealing with your enquiry, which means replying, visiting, quoting and doing the work if you book us. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract. We never sell your details or use them for marketing.
The form is delivered to us by Web3Forms, which emails it to us and keeps a copy of submissions for up to 30 days on our plan. To stop spam, the form uses a hidden trap field and hCaptcha. hCaptcha loads only once you start filling in the form, and it checks that a person, not a program, is sending it. While it runs, it sets a security cookie on its own domain (hcaptcha.com) to help tell people from bots. It's part of keeping the form safe to send, and it isn't used to follow you around the web.
Calls, emails and WhatsApp
Anything you send by phone, email or WhatsApp, photos included, is used the same way, for your enquiry and nothing else. WhatsApp is run by WhatsApp Ireland Limited under its own privacy policy.
Visitor statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It doesn't use cookies or track you across other sites, and it gives us totals, not a record of you.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles your IP address to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Google reviews panel
Our Google reviews are shown by Google itself, in a panel that loads from Google Maps when you scroll near it. Google then receives your IP address and details about your browser, as with any Google service. We don't receive or keep any of it, and we don't copy or store the reviews.
By using the panel you agree to the Google Terms of Service and the Google Maps Additional Terms of Service, and Google's Privacy Policy applies to what Google collects.
How long we keep your details
Enquiries that don't go ahead are deleted after 60 days. If you become a customer, we keep the records of your job for as long as the law and your guarantee need them.
Where it's handled
Web3Forms, hCaptcha, Cloudflare and Google may handle data outside the UK, under their own safeguards for international transfers. Each links to its policy above.
What you can ask us to do
You're entitled to a copy of whatever we hold on you, and to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it's used. Email us and you'll have an answer within a month. If something we've done with your details doesn't sit right, the Information Commissioner's Office takes complaints.
